Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris). Height 23cm.

A semi-cascade about 15 years old. Although called Scots Pine, the species grows right across the Eurasian continent from Iberia to Siberia. There are some particularly fine examples in Scotland - remnants of the post ice-age forest.
